the rim trails of Tallulah Gorge State
Park.
The Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts

years ago, Clarkesville was the "hub" of
this region, when White, Stephens and Habersham Counties were all
one county and Clarkesville was the county seat. Clarkesville is
gaining a reputation as a great place to eat, and during the Arts
Tour several of the town's eating spots will be filled with artists
and music.

Helen -
Helen is a fantasy town built from artist John Kollock’s
sketches and reminiscences of Bavaria. The bones of Helen are a
nearly defunct logging town. Today Helen is quaint, cozy, vibrant
and touristy. There is an old timey grocery store reminiscent of
by-gone summer resort days and a brand new Helen Arts Center housed
in the old City Hall. Work by local artists is displayed in themed
shows that are new every couple of months.
